What is business mentoring?

A business mentor is an individual who works to help support an advise their mentees, bringing forth their own skills and business experience to help provide an education opinion to others. As a business mentor you are provided with a real opportunity to positively impact other people’s lives. You can deliver your own unique knowledge and experience to other businesses and help them to avoid any mistakes you may have made in the past.

Who gets mentored?

Those specifically mentored through Ixion volunteer Mentors are those who have: recently started up their business, those who have been unemployed for a considerable amount of time and require support and motivation to get back into work; and those who were ex offenders butare looking at receving a second chance and support  start-up entrepreneurs.

What does Ixion Social Enterprise do?

Owned by Anglia Ruskin University (charitable trust). 100% of the Group profits are gift-aided to Anglia Ruskin University.

Ixion operates with an entrepreneurial spirit to strong commercial principles but we are guided by an equally strong moral compass.

We have a vision to "transform people lives through Skills, Employment, Enterprise and Innovation, for growth".

This means we can focus on getting the best possible results for the people, organisations and businesses we support, any surplus we make is gift-aided to our parent (who is a charity) for the benefit of the University, our customers/clients and the local community.
